Jazztel opens its operation
on January 1.

2004

The SGC Telecom Group acquires Jazztel.
Construction begins on the TMAX® Platform
and commercialization in the experimental phase
of the tv.net.tel service. The Group wins the international
tender for the supply of integrated triple-play wireless
platforms for digital communication in Lithuania and Bolivia.

2005

Jazztel changes its name to Ar Telecom.
Start of a new business project with

Expansion of network coverage in the city of
Lisbon and coverage of part of Porto.

2007

Ar Telecom is a pioneer in the launch of
VoIP products and multimedia solutions for

Ar Telecom obtained the Certification of its

Ar Telecom and Microsoft establish a partnership in

Ar Telecom creates Backup as a Service (BaaS)
and DisasterRecovery as a Service (DRaaS), services
that associate Veeam Cloud Connect technology
to its high availability infrastructure for customers.

In line with the growth strategy in the Cloud segment,
Ar Telecom reached the Service Provider Enterprise
level in the scope of the partnership with VMware.
