High-performance geographically-distributed object-storage service that uses an API compatible with the S3 protocol used by large public clouds. It also offers CIFS and NFS volumes as a service.
It was developed to ensure a high level of security through geographic redundancy and to provide performance in the managing of large amounts of data, making it ideal for the most demanding workloads. As an object-storage system, it allows the retention of large amounts of unstructured data, stored anywhere, within a bucket of distributed data.
The provision of the service consists of providing a quota of space that is fully configurable and scalable. The service allows integration with numerous systems, in particular with document management applications and with backup systems for remote repositories.
